About the Role:
Northern Sustainable Developments ltd is seeking a skilled Carpentry Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our construction team, you will be responsible for ensuring the highest quality of workmanship in the construction of our projects.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare layouts in conformance to building codes, using measuring tools
- Measure, cut, shape, assemble and join materials made of wood, wood substitutes, lightweight steel and other materials
- Build foundations, install floor beams, lay subflooring and erect walls and roof systems
- Fit and install windows, doors, stairs, mouldings and hardware
- Schedule and co-ordinate work on sites
- Instruct apprentices
- Supervise other workers
Requirements:
- 2 years to less than 3 years of experience
- Carpenter Trade Certification
- First Aid Certificate
- Valid driver's licence
- Own vehicle
Working Conditions:
- Bending, crouching, kneeling
- Handling heavy loads
- Physically demanding
- Tight deadlines
