About the Role:

Le Marché du Village Inc. is seeking a skilled Butcher Shop Assistant to join our retail butchery team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service and ensuring the highest quality of meat products.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Clean and prepare meats for processing and cutting
  • Cut and trim meats to customer specifications
  • Wrap and package prepared meats for sale
  • Remove bones from meat and weigh meats for sale
  • Cut poultry into parts and grind meats
  • Operate band saws, manual cutting utensils, and power grinders

Requirements:

  • 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a similar role
  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines
