About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Chief Human Resources Officer to join our senior leadership team at Altis Recruitment. As a key member of our executive team, you will play a pivotal role in shaping our company culture and employee experience.

The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of Canadian labour laws and employee relations practices, with the ability to balance high performance with a respect for what makes people tick.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement strategic HR initiatives that align with company goals and values.
  • Lead a high-performing HR team, including the Learning & Development Manager and HR Business Partners (HRBPs).
  • Drive the adoption of innovative learning and development technologies to create scalable, interactive and personalized learning experiences.
  • Design and implement leadership development initiatives that help managers grow as people-centered, performance-driven leaders.
  • Oversee the company's mid-year and annual performance evaluation processes.
  • Facilitate regular check-ins, feedback loops and development planning.
  • Coach managers to provide thoughtful, constructive feedback that helps everyone be their best.
  • Lead the annual compensation and salary increase process.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in HR, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • 8+ years in HR, with at least 5 in a senior role overseeing the full HR function and driving strategic initiatives.
  • Strong understanding of Canadian labour laws and employee relations practices.
