About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Governance Specialist to join our team at Accoravillage. As a Governance Specialist, you will play a critical role in supporting the General Counsel/Corporate Secretary in managing the company's governance framework and ensuring compliance with legal and regulatory requirements.

Key Responsibilities
  • Corporate Records Management: Assist in the preparation, maintenance, and updating of corporate records, including minutes of meetings, meeting materials, and resolutions using internal applications/management systems.
  • Board and Committee Support: Help organize board and committee meetings, including scheduling, preparing agendas, and distributing meeting materials.
  • Compliance and Regulatory Support: Assist in ensuring compliance with corporate governance policies, procedures, and relevant laws and regulations.
  • Communication and Coordination: Serve as a point of contact for board members, senior management, and external parties regarding corporate governance matters.
  • Administrative Support: Provide general administrative support to the Corporate Secretary, including scheduling meetings, managing correspondence, and organizing files.
Requirements
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Law, or a related field; a paralegal certification or similar qualification is a plus.
  • Experience: Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in a corporate governance or administrative role, preferably within a corporate or legal environment.
  • Skills: Strong understanding of corporate governance principles, compliance requirements, and regulatory frameworks; excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively.
