Hotel Receptionist

We are seeking a skilled Hotel Receptionist to join our team at Best Value Inn & Suites. As the first point of contact for our guests, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service and ensuring a smooth stay for all visitors.

• Guest Registration and Check-in/Check-out: Register arriving guests, assign rooms, process group arrivals and departures, take, cancel and change room reservations.
• Information Provision: Provide information on hotel facilities and services, points of interest in the area, and respond to guest inquiries.
• Cash Handling and Payments: Process guests' departures, calculate charges, and receive payments.
• Emergency Procedures: Follow emergency and safety procedures, including standing protocols for extended periods.
• Clerical Duties: Perform various clerical tasks such as faxing, filing, photocopying, answering telephone calls, and relaying messages.

• Education: College, CEGEP or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 1 year to 2 years.
• Work Experience: Minimum 7 months of experience in a similar role, preferably in the hotel industry.
• Language Skills: Fluency in English is required, with excellent oral and written communication skills.

• Work Setting: The ideal candidate will have experience working in a fast-paced environment, withstanding pressure and stress.
• Physical Capabilities: Standing for extended periods is a requirement for this role.
