About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced professional to join our team as a Used Equipment Manager. As a key member of our Global UE team, you will play a critical role in driving the growth of our used equipment business.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement strategies to acquire and remarket used equipment, ensuring optimal pricing and maximum returns.
  • Collaborate with sales and operations teams to identify and pursue new business opportunities, leveraging market knowledge and industry trends.
  • Provide market evaluations and risk assessments for prospective acquisitions, ensuring alignment with company goals and objectives.
  • Establish and maintain relationships with key suppliers, brokers, and dealers to source high-quality used equipment.
  • Work closely with the International Sales Manager to develop and execute global business strategies, driving growth and revenue.
  • Develop and maintain a deep understanding of the used equipment market, including trends, values, and opportunities.
  • Provide pricing recommendations and market intelligence to support sales efforts and business development initiatives.
  • Collaborate with the sourcing specialist to develop a network of contacts and intelligence, driving incremental growth and revenue.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with key customers, providing consultative services and solutions to meet their equipment disposal needs.
  • Work closely with internal stakeholders, including product management, corporate finance, and operations, to ensure alignment and effective communication.

Requirements:

  • Post-secondary education in a management discipline or related field.
  • 8-10 years of experience in the used equipment industry, combining industry knowledge with operational, marketing, and sales expertise.
  • Demonstrated customer relationship skills and solution selling experience.
  • Ability to understand complex business problems and apply sound decision-making and negotiation skills.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to adapt approach to connect with front-line employees and senior executives.
  • Ability to handle complexity and balance with the big picture.
