Job Description:

The Medical Science Liaison will act as the primary point of contact between Bayer and thought leaders in the cardiorenal therapeutic area. This role requires establishing long-term scientific and strategic relationships with key stakeholders, including healthcare professionals, scientists and medical associations.

  • Key Responsibilities:
  • Disseminate and educate on scientific data, study protocols, conference abstracts, publications and clinical guidelines to thought leaders.
  • Foster strong partnerships with key stakeholders and serve as a trusted advisor to shape win-win outcomes.
  • Identify, profile, segment and engage thought leaders to execute medical strategy.
  • Generate insights on current clinical practice, beliefs and unmet medical needs from thought leaders.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest scientific research in the cardiorenal therapeutic area and develop a deep understanding of Bayer's market strategies and the healthcare landscape.
  • C Coordinate and organize scientific learning activities within the therapeutic area.
  • L lead regional consultant meetings to gather insights and shape go-to-market strategies.
  • R facilitate Investigator Initiated Research (IIR) set-up and support medical operations and site management for non-interventional and interventional trials.
  • T provide training related to disease state, Bayer product and competitor products for internal partners.
  • D document medical information queries in alignment with MI handling procedures.
Requirements and Qualifications:

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A Bachelor's degree in a science-related field or advanced degree preferred.
  • At least 2 years of experience in the pharmaceutical industry in a customer-facing medical affairs role or experience in drug information, clinical research and development, or other clinical relevant activities.
  • Demonstrated learning agility and transferable skills to cover different therapeutic areas.
  • Ability to work in a team environment, build productive work-relationships internally and externally, and work independently.
  • Excellent presentation and written and verbal communication skills, good organization skills and attention to detail.
  • Experience learning and using digital technology to develop communications, brand/TA campaigns and/or conduct analysis of medical data and generate insights.
  • Demonstrated business acumen and a mindset of Dynamic Shared Ownership.
