Procurement Specialist

We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Procurement Specialist to join our team at Metalec Sudbury Inc. The ideal candidate will have proven experience in procurement processes and procedures, with strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry.
Job OverviewThe Procurement Specialist will be responsible for assisting in the procurement process, maintaining accurate records, and ensuring timely delivery of goods and services. This role plays a crucial part in supporting our purchasing department and contributing to the overall efficiency of our operations.
Duties:
- Assist in sourcing suppliers and obtaining quotes for goods and services
- Process purchase orders and track deliveries
- Maintain updated records of purchased products, delivery information, and invoices
- Communicate with vendors to resolve issues or discrepancies
- Monitor inventory levels and assist in inventory management
- Collaborate with internal departments to ensure procurement needs are met
- Generate reports on purchasing activities as needed
Experience:
Proven experience as a Procurement Specialist or in a similar role is an asset. Familiarity with procurement processes and procedures, strong organizational and time management skills, and proficiency in MS Office, particularly Excel, are also essential.
