Job Description: Full Time Generator Service Technician

Sommers Generator Systems is seeking a Full Time Generator Service Technician in various locations in Ontario area to join our team.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform preventive maintenance and repairs in the field as required and scheduled, ensuring optimal performance and reliability of our generator systems.
  • Complete assigned Service and Emergency Calls by troubleshooting all equipment and problem-solving the issue by identifying defects and taking corrective action.
  • Demonstrate strong customer service by focusing on completing all assigned maintenance and service work on time and schedule, exceeding customer expectations.
  • Maintain a clean and organized service vehicle, stocked with the proper tools and parts as required, ensuring seamless job execution.
  • Document all notes and paperwork using our CRM platform prior to moving on to the next call, ensuring accurate records and efficient workflow.
Requirements:
  • EGSA certification preferred, with ability to obtain and maintain certification.
  • Licensed Electrician or Mechanic, with mechanical and/or electrical aptitude.
  • Availability and flexibility for emergency on-call requirements, including overtime.
  • The ability to work independently, completing assigned work at times in high-stress situations, while maintaining a safe and healthy working environment.
  • A valid Class G driver's license for the province of employment and a clean driver's abstract, ensuring safe transportation and operation of company vehicles.
