Culinary Specialist

We are seeking a skilled Culinary Specialist to join our team at Shannex Incorporated. As a key member of our culinary team, you will be responsible for planning and preparing meals according to established standards, procedures, recipes, and menus. This includes preparing special meals to meet appropriate therapeutic menu modifications according to established guidelines.
You will also assist with preparation of food for special functions, such as catering and theme dinners, to ensure service meets established standards. Additionally, you will report any recipe shortages, discrepancies, or quality issues to the Executive Chef or supervisor in a timely manner.
As a Culinary Specialist, you will be responsible for maintaining the cleanliness of the kitchen and its equipment, adhering to legislative and organizational standards. You will also follow established waste management guidelines for organics, paper, plastics, cans/bottles, and non-recyclable materials.
About YouWe are looking for a candidate with a Culinary Arts Diploma and a valid Red Seal Certificate. You should possess a valid Food Handler's certificate and have experience in large quantity food preparation. You must be able to read and follow detailed recipes and instructions as required.
A passion for the healthcare sector and/or ensuring seniors have access to quality accommodations, services, and care is essential. You will be required to provide a clear criminal record check.
