About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Logistics Hauler to join our team at SSD CONTRACTING LTD. as a Heavy Equipment Operator.

Job Description

As a Logistics Hauler, you will be responsible for operating and driving straight or articulated trucks to transport goods and materials. Your duties will include:

  • Driving as part of a two-person team or convoy
  • Loading and unloading goods
  • Performing pre-trip, en route, and post-trip inspections
  • Overseeing the condition of the vehicle and inspecting tires, lights, brakes, cold storage, and other equipment

You will also be responsible for receiving and relaying information to central dispatch, recording cargo information, hours of service, distance traveled, and fuel consumption, as well as tarping and ensuring the safety and security of cargo.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A permanent position with 50 hours per week of work
  • The ability to train on the job
  • Excellent interpersonal skills

  • Judgement and organizational skills
Salary and Benefits
