Occupational Therapist Position for Special Education

As a member of our Multidisciplinary Team, the Occupational Therapist will play a vital role in enhancing student potential for learning and ability to participate in the educational environment.
About the Role:
- Conduct assessments, planning, consultation, and intervention to support students with diverse learning profiles, including physical, motor, sensory, coordination, and/or behavioral needs.
- Provide direct student support through safety assessments, short-term interventions, and program delivery to enhance student ability to participate in the educational environment.
- Collaborate with school staff, parents, and other Special Services Personnel to inform the preparation of Safety Plans, Individual Education Plans, and recommend specialized equipment for the learning environment.
Required Qualifications:
- Master's Degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited institution.
- Minimum of 2 years related experience in Occupational Therapy, assessing and supporting students with sensory, motor, coordination, physical, mobility, behavioral, and learning needs.
- Registration and membership in the College of Occupational Therapists of Ontario (COTO) and good standing license.
- Evidence of commitment to equity, diversity, and inclusion.
Compensation and Benefits:
- Salary range: $64,253 - $113,928 per year (Degree holder and Master holder categories).
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation required.
