Job DescriptionThe Clinical Pharmacy Specialist will function as an expert practitioner, consultant, educator, and researcher in a designated specialty area. Key responsibilities include:
- Providing consultation services to internal and external healthcare professionals
- Applying advanced levels of theory to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate the delivery of pharmaceutical care
- Developing, planning, organizing, and evaluating clinical, education, and research activities within the designated specialty area
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in clinical pharmacy, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
SalaryThis role offers a competitive salary package, including a base salary of $63,000 per year, plus comprehensive health benefits coverage. The estimated total compensation package is approximately $72,000 per year, based on a 37-hour workweek.
Required Skills and QualificationsTo be successful in this role, you will need:
- Current registration as a Pharmacist with the College of Pharmacists of British Columbia
- Certificate of completion of year 1 and year 2 of a Hospital Pharmacy Residency Program accredited by the Canadian Pharmacy Residency Board (CPRB)
- Two years' recent, relevant hospital pharmacy experience, including one year's pharmacy experience in the designated specialty area
