Clinical Leadership Expert for Pathology and Laboratory Medicine

We are seeking an experienced and skilled professional to lead our pathology and laboratory medicine team as the Director of Clinical Operations. This role offers a unique opportunity to work in a dynamic environment, overseeing the delivery of high-quality laboratory services and contributing to the development of innovative strategies to enhance patient care.
About the Role:
- Provide strategic leadership and direction to the pathology and laboratory medicine team, ensuring seamless integration with other departments and services.
- Develop and implement policies, procedures, and guidelines to maintain excellence in laboratory operations, quality management, and regulatory compliance.
- Collaborate with medical directors, department heads, and staff to identify areas for improvement and develop solutions to drive change and innovation.
- Oversee the development and implementation of budgets, financial plans, and resource allocation to support the delivery of high-quality laboratory services.
- Mentor and coach senior lab managers and staff to enhance their skills, knowledge, and performance.
- Foster partnerships with local, national, and international organizations to advance the field of pathology and laboratory medicine, promoting research, education, and collaboration.
Requirements:
- Degree in a relevant field (Health Sciences or Health Administration) from an accredited institution.
- A minimum of 7-10 years of progressive leadership experience in managing clinical staff in complex environments.
- Membership in the College of Medical Laboratory Technologists of Ontario (CMLTO).
Preferred Qualifications:
- Master's degree in a relevant field.
- Previous experience in an academic health organization.
Salary Range: $120,000 - $150,000 per annum, depending on qualifications and experience.
