About Oram's Bethesda Manor

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Caregiving Professional to join our team at Oram's Bethesda Manor. As a member of our long-term care staff, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional support and care to our residents.

Job Summary

This is a permanent full-time position with an estimated salary range of $45,000 - $60,000 per year, depending on experience. The successful candidate will work 30 to 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday.

Key Responsibilities
  • Administer bedside and personal care to residents, ensuring their dignity and well-being are maintained at all times;
  • Assist residents with bathing and other aspects of personal hygiene, promoting independence and confidence;
  • Provide companionship and social interaction, helping to alleviate feelings of loneliness and isolation;
  • Collect specimens and assist with medication administration, as required;
  • Feed or assist residents with feeding, respecting their dietary needs and preferences;
  • Assist with regular exercise programs, such as walking, to promote mobility and flexibility;
Requirements
  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate;
  • 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a similar role;
  • Punctuality, flexibility, and reliability;
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks effectively;
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships with residents, families, and colleagues.
