Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Team Member to join our Store Environment team at Michaels. As a Team Member, you will play a critical role in maintaining the overall look and feel of our store, ensuring a clean and safe environment for our customers and staff.

Key Responsibilities
  • Maintain store cleanliness and recovery standards to deliver our Brand Promises.
  • Deliver friendly customer service, helping customers shop our store and find what they're looking for.
  • Collect and dispose of trash following approved procedures.
  • Dust and damp mop floors following approved procedures.
  • Move equipment and products for proper cleaning and place products back in correct placement.
  • Clean assigned areas with the use of assigned materials and equipment.
  • Deep clean key areas of the store, including bathrooms, breakrooms, entry ways, and other high-traffic areas.
  • Keep cleaning equipment neat and orderly.
  • Notify supervisor of supply needs in advance for replenishment.
  • Seek out areas requiring cleaning and take initiative to complete the task.
  • Complete all tasks assigned by supervisor.
  • Perform tasks in accordance with all federal, state, and county guidelines.
  • Maintain positive and respectful interactions with team members and customers.
  • Project a positive image and serve as a role model for other Team Members.
Additional Responsibilities
  • Provide a fast and friendly checkout experience.
  • Engage customers on the benefits of our Rewards program and Private Label Credit Cards.
  • Assist with Omni-channel processes, including Buy Online Pickup in Store (BOPIS) and Ship from Store (SFS).
  • Participate in the truck unload, stocking, and planogram (POGs) processes.
  • Support shrink and safety programs.
  • Adhere to Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and Company programs to ensure compliance with applicable laws and requirements.
Requirements
  • Retail and/or cleaning experience preferred.
  • Ability to remain standing for long periods of time.
  • Ability to move throughout the store.
  • Regular bending, lifting, carrying, reaching, and stretching.
  • Lifting heavy boxes and accessing high shelves by ladder or similar equipment.
