We are Aspira Peninsula Retirement Living, a company dedicated to providing exceptional care and services to our residents.

The Server is an important member of our hospitality team, responsible for delivering exceptional dining experiences to our residents.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support all aspects of hospitality-style dining room service, ensuring the highest level of service and resident satisfaction.
  • Assist with food preparation and presentation under the direction of the Chef.
  • Maintain established standards for cleanliness and sanitation throughout all aspects of food preparation and service.
  • Track and promote a la carte and wine service sales in accordance with prescribed procedures.
  • Comply with all provincial regulations, established food and beverage department policies and procedures, and ORCA standards to ensure the department is tour-ready.
  • Participate in drills to prepare for emergencies and attend all education sessions in relation to emergency preparedness.

Requirements:

  • Must have the Smart Serve designation (or be willing to obtain within 30 days) and one year of experience in dining room service.
  • Ability to work independently and/or as a member of a team.
  • Safe Food Handling Certification preferred.
  • Experience working with seniors and knowledge of the aging process an asset.
  • Proven customer service skills to work with residents of various cultural backgrounds.
  • Effective verbal and written English communication skills required.
