Job Description
We are seeking a highly skilled Automotive Accounting Manager to join our team at Performance Auto Group.
About the Role
This is a challenging and rewarding opportunity for an experienced accounting professional to oversee all aspects of automotive accounting, including financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and compliance.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement accounting policies and procedures to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting.
- Manage and maintain general ledger accounts, reconcile statements, and prepare financial reports.
- Assist in the preparation of annual budgets and forecasts, and provide analysis and recommendations for future business growth.
- Oversee accounts payable and accounts receivable functions, including vendor management and customer relations.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, including tax laws and financial reporting standards.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all financial transactions, including invoices, payments, and reconciliations.
- Perform other related duties as required.
Requirements
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- A University Degree or College Diploma in Accounting, or equivalent.
- 3-5 years of experience in automotive accounting, preferably in a dealership environment.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively interact with staff, management, and external partners.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, and experience with accounting software, such as CDK.
- High attention to detail and accuracy, with the ability to meet tight deadlines and prioritize multiple tasks.
