Job Title: Cloud Infrastructure Engineer

Job Summary:

The Cloud Infrastructure Engineer will provide technical leadership and expertise in the planning, development, implementation, integration, and maintenance of Payments Canada's Cloud Infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide technical guidance and support for the development and implementation of cloud-based infrastructure solutions.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and evaluate cloud technology standards and develop recommendations for implementation.
  • Develop and maintain automation scripts to reduce or eliminate manual repetitive tasks.
  • Work with configuration management tools to ensure consistency and reliability of cloud-based infrastructure.
  • Participate in on-call support and overtime as required.
Requirements:
  • Post-secondary education in computer science, information systems, engineering, or other related fields.
  • Minimum of three to five years of relevant experience in IT infrastructure services, software development, or a related field.
  • Experience in producing concise and detailed technical documentation.
  • Experience in technical activities related to infrastructure design and operations, preferably in a cloud-centric environment.
  • Knowledge of software version control, automated deployment, orchestration, and CI/CD principles.
