We are seeking a skilled Construction Trades Specialist to join our team at GMR LANDSCAPING INC. This is a permanent position requiring 2 years of experience and no degree, certificate or diploma.

Work Site Environment
  • The successful candidate will work outdoors, at heights, underground, in confined spaces, and in dangerous conditions.
  • They must be comfortable working in dusty, cold/refrigerated environments.
Work Setting
  • This role involves working at various locations, including remote sites.
  • Relocation costs are not covered by the employer.
Key Responsibilities
  • Loading, unloading, and transporting construction materials.
  • Erecting and dismantling concrete forms, scaffolding, ramps, catwalks, shoring, and barricades.
  • Mixing, pouring, and spreading materials like concrete and asphalt.
  • Assisting medical examiners and helping with tasks such as aligning pipes during pipeline construction.
  • Drilling and blasting rock on construction sites.
  • Assisting with framing houses, erecting walls, and building roofs.
  • Leveling earth to fine grade specifications.
  • Paving and raking asphalt.
  • Demolishing buildings and cleaning up debris.
  • Tending machines, directing traffic, and performing other tasks as required.
Equipment Experience
  • Experience with equipment such as bobcats, concrete vibrators, saws, mixers, pumpcretes, grinders, chippers, jackhammers, air compressors, air guns, nail guns, drills, loaders, sandblasters, and sledgehammers is an asset.
Required Skills and Qualifications
  • A valid driver's license and own transportation are necessary for this role.
  • Candidates must have a green economy sector specialization and be willing to relocate if required.
  • They should have a criminal record check and be physically capable of handling heavy loads.
Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities
  • This role involves working in fast-paced environments, with tight deadlines, repetitive tasks, and manual dexterity required.
  • Physically demanding tasks include handling heavy loads and working in challenging weather conditions.
  • Overtime may be required in this position.
Salary and Benefits
  • The estimated salary for this role is between $60,000 and $80,000 per year, depending on location and experience.
