Transformative Marketing Professional

Hitachi Energy Canada Inc. is seeking a talented Marketing Engineer to join our team.
About the Role:
The successful candidate will support North American Sales and Tendering teams in articulating the technical value and product offerings of Hitachi Energy's transformers to customers and prospects. They will qualify opportunities, build customer trust on the offering, and facilitate customer/prospect evaluation of relevant products as part of the sales engagement process. The individual will influence and differentiate by revealing the advantages of the proposed offering.
Main Responsibilities:
- Perform tendering activities and assist the Sales team with presales support for related product applications and solutions. Participate in sales campaigns and technical forums. Actively promote and differentiate the offering against competition. Perform analytical and diagnostic studies to determine the most suitable product offering to meet customer needs.
- Identify risks in contracts at the tendering stage and perform risk reviews with respective teams to mitigate risks.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Front End Sales, Account Management, Engineering, Procurement, Execution, Production, and Product Marketing teams.
- Support technical identification and qualification of new opportunities related to distribution transformers. Provide technical insights about applications to customers and partners, leveraging Hitachi Energy technologies. Ensure the right understanding of technical advantages and values during early stages of the opportunity. Assist in preparing tender responses. Propose technical solutions for complex inquiries. Provide technical support during technical meetings, product presentations, and negotiations.
- Provide necessary details to execution teams to avoid inefficiencies. Collaborate in standardizing relevant execution processes and technical details.
- Participate in individual and team presentations and demonstrations. Represent Hitachi Energy at nominated industry and marketing events. Develop market and technology knowledge. Foster internal and external marketing activities and sales negotiations.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Production Engineering, or Mechanical Engineering.
- 1-3 years of experience desired.
- Understanding of Salesforce.com is an asset.
- Good knowledge of electrical products (low voltage and medium voltage distribution) mainly transformers is an asset.
- Ability to work in cross-functional and global team environments.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Demonstrated technical aptitude.
- Solid written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong presentation skills.
- Bilingual and fluent in French and English.
Compensation Package:
We offer a competitive salary range of $85,000 - $115,000 per year, depending on experience. This figure is based on industry standards and takes into account the responsibilities and qualifications required for this role.
