Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and customer-focused Retail Sales Associate to join our team at Whitehorse Home Hardware Building Centre. As a key member of our sales team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service, maintaining a high level of product knowledge, and achieving sales targets.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide excellent customer service, responding to customer inquiries and resolving issues in a timely and professional manner.
  • Maintain a high level of product knowledge, staying up-to-date on new products, features, and promotions.
  • Process sales transactions accurately and efficiently, handling cash, credit card payments, and other payment methods.
  • Assist customers with product selection, answering questions, and providing recommendations.
  • Participate in visual merchandising, maintaining a visually appealing store environment, and ensuring products are displayed effectively.
  • Contribute to achieving sales targets, meeting or exceeding sales goals, and maintaining a high level of sales performance.
Requirements
  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • 7 months to less than 1 year of experience in a retail sales environment.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, handling multiple tasks and priorities.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a strong focus on customer service.
  • Ability to lift up to 23 kg (50 lbs) and stand for extended periods.
