Texcan, a leading distributor of wire and cable products, is seeking a skilled Documentation Control Specialist to join their team. As a key member of the organization, this individual will be responsible for ensuring the accuracy and consistency of documentation across various projects.

The ideal candidate will possess excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment. They will be responsible for receiving, logging, tracking, filing, and monitoring customer and vendor supplied documentation, as well as setting up document control records and archiving project information.

The successful candidate will have a post-secondary diploma in business administration or a related field, with experience in data entry, administrative, and/or document control. They will be proficient in MS Office and have excellent communication skills. In addition, they will be self-motivated, able to take initiative, and prioritize tasks effectively.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Receives, logs, tracks, files, and monitors paper and electronic customer and vendor supplied documentation, and other technical correspondence.
  • Responsible for setting up document control records, archiving project information, and preparing project data books.
  • Responds to document requests and submissions.
  • Generates and distributes reports as required by project.
  • Handles file documents by electronically scanning documents, and maintaining data files.
  • Uploads documentations to SharePoint site/Customer Portals.
  • Sets up and assembles project data books.
  • Ensures all documentation is consistent and adheres to internal standards.
  • Archives all Project Documentation and Project Close-out.
  • Liaising with Sales Representative, Project Specialist, and Management.

Requirements:

  • Post secondary diploma (business administration etc).
  • Problem Solver, information gatherer, very detail oriented.
  • Experience in data entry, administrative and/or document control.
  • MS Office.
  • Self-motivated with the ability to take initiative and prioritize tasks.
  • Ability to meet project timelines and perform in a high pressure and team-based environment.
