Living Waters Catholic Separate School Division is seeking a dedicated and passionate Junior/Senior High School Teacher to join our team at St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Academy in Slave Lake, Alberta.

Job Summary:

We are looking for a qualified and enthusiastic educator to teach Junior and Senior High School students in a faith-filled, safe, caring, and inclusive environment. The successful candidate will have a strong commitment to Catholic education and be able to create a learning environment that fosters curiosity, exploration, and a love of learning.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Teach Junior and Senior High School subjects, including Physical Education and Complimentary Courses
  • Develop and implement engaging lesson plans that meet the needs of diverse learners
  • Assess student progress and adjust instruction accordingly
  • Collaborate with colleagues to create a positive and supportive learning environment
  • Communicate effectively with students, parents, and colleagues

Requirements:

  • Valid Alberta Teaching Certificate
  • Commitment to Catholic Education
  • Experience in teaching Junior and Senior High School subjects
  • Experience in working in inclusive environments
  • Experience in working in a fast-paced collaborative environment
  • Experience with assistive technology
  • Music and/or Art experience would be an asset
