Job Description for Plumbing Installation and Repair Specialist at Kular Plumbing Ltd.

We are seeking a skilled Plumbing Installation and Repair Specialist to join our team at Kular Plumbing Ltd. In this role, you will be responsible for installing and repairing domestic, commercial, and industrial plumbing fixtures and systems.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Install plumbing fixtures and systems: Install domestic, commercial, or industrial plumbing fixtures and systems, ensuring they meet safety and quality standards.
  • Repair plumbing issues: Diagnose and repair leaks, blockages, and other plumbing issues in a timely and efficient manner.
  • Read and interpret blueprints: Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications to determine the layout of plumbing systems, water supply networks, and waste and drainage systems.
  • Locate and mark pipe connections: Locate and mark positions for pipe connections, passage holes, and fixtures in walls and floors.
  • Measure and cut pipes: Measure, cut, thread, and bend pipes to the required shape and size.
  • Schedule and coordinate: Schedule personnel, tools, and equipment to ensure efficient project completion.
  • Test and inspect: Test pipes for leaks using air and water pressure gauges and inspect work to ensure quality.
  • Estimate and plan: Determine piping system requirements, estimate costs and materials, and plan projects to meet deadlines and budget constraints.
Additional Responsibilities:
  • Support for newcomers and refugees: Provide diversity and cross-cultural training to create a welcoming work environment for newcomers and refugees.
  • Support for youths: Provide awareness training to employees to create a welcoming work environment for youth.
  • Support for Veterans: Provide awareness training to employees to create a welcoming work environment for Veterans.
  • Support for Indigenous people: Provide cultural competency training and/or awareness training to all employees to create a welcoming work environment for Indigenous workers.
  • Support for mature workers: Provide staff with awareness training to create a welcoming work environment for mature workers.
  • Support for visible minorities: Provide diversity and cross-cultural training to create a welcoming work environment for members of visible minorities.
  • Permanent position: This is a permanent position with a 32-hour workweek.
  • Language of work: The language of work is English.
