About the Role

We are seeking an experienced and caring Child Development Program Specialist to join our team at West Vancouver Monarch Montessori Childcare. In this rewarding role, you will have the opportunity to develop and implement child-care programs that support the physical, cognitive, emotional, and social development of children.

Responsibilities
  • Program Development: Create and implement engaging child-care programs that cater to the diverse needs of children, ensuring a safe and nurturing environment for their growth and development.
  • Leadership and Guidance: Lead activities, including storytelling, singing, and other creative pursuits, while guiding children in essential life skills like eating, dressing, and toilet habits.
  • Observation and Reporting: Monitor children's progress, identifying potential issues and preparing comprehensive reports to support their well-being.
  • Team Collaboration: Establish strong relationships with colleagues and community service providers to ensure seamless coordination and support for our children.
  • Safety and Environment: Plan and maintain a secure and healthy environment for our children, prioritizing their physical and emotional safety.
Requirements
  • Education: A college, CEGEP, or non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 1-2 years is required.
  • Experience: While experience is an asset, we encourage candidates with relevant education to apply.
Compensation and Benefits
