Restaurant Manager Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Restaurant Manager to join our team at Sparkling Hill Wellness Hotel Ltd. As a Restaurant Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of our restaurant, ensuring exceptional customer service, and maintaining high standards of food quality and safety.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Analyze budget to boost and maintain the restaurant's profits
  • Develop budget to determine cost of food, ingredients, alcohol, kitchen and cleaning supplies
  • Evaluate daily operations to ensure efficiency and effectiveness
  • Monitor revenues to determine labour cost and make adjustments as needed
  • Monitor staff performance and provide feedback and coaching to improve performance
  • Plan and organize daily operations, including menu planning, inventory management, and staff scheduling
  • Recruit, train, and supervise staff to ensure they have the skills and knowledge needed to provide excellent customer service
  • Balance cash and complete balance sheets, cash reports, and related forms
  • Conduct performance reviews to evaluate staff performance and identify areas for improvement
  • Enforce provincial/territorial liquor legislation and regulations
  • Organize and maintain inventory, including food, supplies, and equipment
  • Ensure health and safety regulations are followed, including proper food handling and storage procedures
  • Negotiate arrangements with suppliers for food and other supplies
  • Participate in marketing plans and implementation to promote the restaurant and increase sales
  • Leading/instructing individuals to achieve team goals and objectives
  • Address customers' complaints or concerns in a professional and courteous manner
  • Provide customer service to ensure customer satisfaction and loyalty
  • Manage events, including weddings, conferences, and other special events

  • Repetitive tasks, including standing for extended periods and handling heavy loads
  • Physically demanding work, including lifting, bending, and standing for long periods
  • Attention to detail to ensure accuracy and quality in all aspects of restaurant operations
  • Combination of sitting, standing, walking, and lifting to perform job duties

Experience:

  • 2 years to less than 3 years of experience in a restaurant management role
