About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Health Information Management Manager to join our team at Providence Health Care. As a key member of our Health Information Management Administration team, you will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of our records management and registration services.

Key Responsibilities
  • Coordinate the effective utilization of staff, services, and equipment to ensure high-quality patient care.
  • Investigate and resolve operational issues, including service level concerns and staff performance issues.
  • Develop and implement policies and procedures to improve workflows and ensure compliance with HIM-wide policies and procedures.
  • Monitor and track workload statistics, prepare relevant reports, and ensure resources are deployed effectively.
  • Collaborate with other HIM staff to ensure standardization and consistency in health records management and registration services.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Health Information Management, or a related field.
  • Five years' recent experience in records management, including three years' supervisory experience or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of health records management systems, policies, and procedures.
  • Strong leadership, coaching, and mentoring skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
