We are seeking an experienced and skilled Window Installation Specialist to join our team at Sky Windows Ltd.

Job Summary

The successful candidate will be responsible for the installation of windows, doors, and other glass products. This is a permanent position working 40 hours per week.

About the Role
  • The ideal candidate will have experience in the trade, with knowledge of glazing systems, safety procedures, and quality control measures.
  • You will work closely with our production team to ensure timely delivery of projects, meeting client expectations, and maintaining high standards of workmanship.
  • As a key member of our team, you will contribute to continuous improvement initiatives, identifying areas for enhancement and implementing process changes as needed.
Key Responsibilities
  1. Determine the type of glass, frames, and materials required for each project.
  2. Measure, mark, and cut glass to precise specifications.
  3. Position and secure panes in frames, ensuring accurate alignment and watertight seals.
  4. Assemble and install prefabricated glass, mirrors, or glass products according to manufacturer instructions.
  5. Install door, window, and other hardware, following industry standards and best practices.
  6. Prepare shop drawings and specifications for client approval.
  7. Repair glass doors and other glass structures, utilizing expertise in repair techniques and materials.
  8. Supervise other workers on site, providing guidance and support to ensure efficient completion of tasks.
  9. Estimate costs and materials required for projects, considering factors like labor, equipment, and supply chain logistics.
  10. Work at heights, on scaffolding or swing stages, adhering to strict safety protocols and regulations.
  11. Read and interpret blueprints, maps, drawings, and specifications to understand project requirements.
Requirements
  • No formal education degree is required, but experience in the trade is essential.
  • A strong understanding of safety procedures, quality control measures, and industry standards.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Familiarity with glazing systems, including measurement, cutting, and installation techniques.
