Insurance Advisor

Aviva Canada is seeking a talented Insurance Advisor to join its team in the Direct to Consumer Distribution channel. As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in providing insurance solutions to new and existing customers.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in sales and customer service, with excellent verbal and written communication skills. You will be responsible for understanding customer insurance needs and providing tailored solutions, as well as quoting and selling insurance home and auto policies.
As an Insurance Advisor, you will work closely with customers to identify their insurance needs and provide personalized recommendations. You will also be responsible for underwriting new business, policy endorsements, and renewals, ensuring that all necessary information is obtained from customers to inform pricing and risk analysis.

Key responsibilities include:
- Understanding customer insurance needs and providing tailored solutions
- Quoting and selling insurance home and auto policies
- Assisting new customers with their insurance needs
- Service existing customers by updating their policies to meet their changing needs and providing new products as required
- Driving strong customer retention by providing a world-class customer experience
- Underwriting new business, policy endorsements, and renewals
Requirements include:
- College diploma or university degree
- Sales and customer service experience
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Customer-focused and ability to match products to customer needs
- Good problem-solving skills
- Ability to self-manage and prioritize work
- Strong computer skills and ability to learn new software applications
- Insurance sales/service underwriting experience an asset
- Actively working towards CIP or FCIP designation an asset
- Bilingual (English and French)
