We are seeking a skilled Food Service Supervisor to join our team at Avleen08 Ontario Inc. As a Food Service Supervisor, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of our food service department, ensuring that all food and service meet quality control standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Establish methods to meet work schedules and requisition food and kitchen supplies.
- Supervise and co-ordinate activities of staff who prepare and portion food, train staff in job duties, sanitation and safety procedures, and estimate ingredient and supplies required for meal preparation.
- Hire food service staff and prepare budget and cost estimates.
- Address customers' complaints or concerns and maintain records of stock, repairs, sales, and wastage.
- Prepare and submit reports and prepare food order summaries for the chef.
- Supervise and check assembly of trays.
Requirements:
- 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a food service environment.
- Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.

- Applies hiring policies that discourage age discrimination.
- Provides staff with awareness training to create a welcoming work environment for mature workers.
- Offers phased retirement options that allow mature workers to gradually reduce their workload.
- Offers phased re-entry options for mature workers who are returning to work after retiring.
- Applies hiring policies that discourage discrimination against members of visible minorities.
- Provides diversity and cross-cultural training to create a welcoming work environment for members of visible minorities.
