Automation Controls Specialist

ATS Automation is a leading provider of automation solutions, and we're seeking an experienced Automation Controls Specialist to join our team.
Salary:$85,000 - $110,000 per year, depending on experience.
Job Responsibilities:
- Design and Development: Develop and program software for custom automation equipment using Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs) and Human Machine Interfaces (HMIs).
- Troubleshooting: Troubleshoot controls and electrical equipment at customer facilities and make necessary adjustments to bring equipment up to running status.
- Reporting: Report and correct abnormal equipment conditions and inaccurate actions by customer staff.
- Teamwork: Work independently or as part of a team to achieve project goals.
- Communication: Ensure alignment of customer objectives with on-site work plans and communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- Education: A post-secondary diploma or degree in programming/electrical engineering or equivalent.
- Experience: A minimum of four years of experience in a hands-on automation/control's environment, including 3+ years of experience programming PLCs and HMIs using Allen Bradley or Siemens software.
- Skills: Excellent communication skills, professionalism, and well-developed interpersonal skills; ability to work under pressure in a multi-disciplined engineering environment.
