About the Role:

The University of Toronto is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Graduate Program Assistant to support the Faculty of Applied Science & Engineering. As a key member of the Graduate Program office, you will provide exceptional customer service to students, faculty, and staff, ensuring a seamless experience from recruitment to convocation.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide detailed information to students on program and/or course requirements.
  • Schedule appointments for prospective students, applicants, and current students to address individual needs.
  • Act as the first point of contact for general enquiries.
  • Track the status of applications and check completeness.
  • Update and maintain records.
  • Provide detailed information on eligibility requirements, procedures, and deadlines.
  • Coordinate the preparation of registration materials.

Requirements:

  • Advanced College Diploma or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Minimum two years of relevant experience providing front-line customer service to post-secondary students.
  • Experience providing detailed information to students on program and/or course requirements.
  • Demonstrated experience with ROSI/Acorn and SLATE.
  • Experience navigating websites to identify resources to support students.
  • Demonstrated experience providing support for career fairs and events.
  • Demonstrated experience providing basic support for general referrals to individuals in distress.
  • Experience assessing a variety of transcripts and processing GPA calculations.
  • Ability to control a large volume of data.
  • Superior customer service, interpersonal skills, and a positive attitude.
  • Excellent problem-solving, judgment, and analytical skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communications skills.
  • Proven collaborative and teamwork skills.
  • Ability to work well under pressure and meet deadlines.
