Philanthropic Fundraising Specialist

Join a dynamic team at AFP Golden Horseshoe Chapter as a Senior Development Officer and make a meaningful impact on the lives of our community. Reporting to the Vice President, Development, this role will play a key part in the fundraising strategy, championing private sector and community support to achieve our mission.
We are seeking an experienced fundraising professional to manage an assigned portfolio, building strong relationships with donors, corporations, and partners to maximize revenue generation. The successful candidate will have excellent communication skills, be able to work independently, and demonstrate initiative, innovation, and resourcefulness to enhance existing relationships and create new opportunities.
The ideal candidate will have a post-secondary education in business, communications, or a related field, and experience using Raiser's Edge/NXT fundraising software would be an asset. A certificate in development, fundraising, or event planning is also desirable. We offer a competitive salary range of $70,000 - $80,000 per year, reflecting the level of expertise and dedication required for this role.
Responsibilities include:
- Championing our mission and identifying new opportunities to support revenue generation goals
- Leading an assigned portfolio of donors and prospects to build engaged relationships and yield longer-term benefits
- Collaborating within the development teams and across the organization to ensure a seamless and donor-centered experience
- Working to achieve fundraising results consistent with the Foundation Guidelines on Expectations of Development Professionals and meeting annual expectations for assigned portfolio of donors and prospects
- Engaging, cultivating, soliciting, and stewarding prospects to support a culture of donors and community partners who feel connected, valued, and informed
- Coordinating case proposal development and supporting the VP, Development on campaign development and implementation
- Establishing productive and meaningful relationships with hospital teams, including physicians, medical professionals, and leadership
