The Health PEI team is seeking a highly skilled Procurement Specialist to join our Strategic Sourcing Department. This exciting opportunity allows you to leverage your expertise in procurement, supply chain management, and strategic sourcing to make a significant impact on the organization's purchasing decisions.

Job Overview:

  • The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and implementing effective sourcing strategies that meet the needs of various healthcare departments.
  • You will work closely with stakeholders to ensure seamless procurement processes, from tendering to contract award and vendor compliance.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Collaborate with departmental managers to identify business needs and develop tailored procurement plans.
  2. Develop and maintain relationships with suppliers to negotiate competitive pricing, improve service quality, and resolve conflicts efficiently.
  3. Prepare tender documents, evaluation reports, and contract awards to ensure adherence to Health PEI policies and procedures.
  4. Manage financial aspects of procurements, including budget tracking, requisitioning, and payment processing.
  5. Provide regular performance evaluations, key performance indicators, and product supplier assessments to inform procurement decisions.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • A minimum of two years' experience in procurement, supply chain management, or a related field.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of computer applications relevant to procurement and supply chain management.
  • Proven ability to plan, estimate, schedule, and coordinate tasks and contracts effectively.
  • Strong leadership and direction skills, with the ability to foster teamwork and high levels of service-oriented performance.
  • Ability to create and maintain an environment that encourages creativity, diversity, innovation, and initiative.
  • Expertise in building capacity and leading teams, combined with the ability to achieve consensus when necessary.
  • Strong organizational, analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • Ability to create positive relationships, establish rapport, and influence various interest groups and stakeholders.

Salary Information:

$31.18 - $39.03 per hour

Bi-Weekly Hours: 75 hours bi-weekly / Monday to Friday, 8:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m.
