Job Title: Industrial Welding Specialist - Custom Fabrication

Estimated Salary Range: $60,000 - $80,000 per year

Job Description:

Responsibilities
  • Interpret welding process specifications and operate manual or semi-automatic, fully automated welding equipment to fabricate or repair metal parts and products.
  • Read and interpret welding blueprints, drawings specifications, manuals and processes to ensure accurate and efficient production.
  • Examine welds and ensure that they meet standards and/or specifications, identifying and addressing any defects or issues.
  • Operate manual or semi-automatic flame-cutting equipment and brakes, shears and other metal shaping, straightening and bending machines as needed.
  • Maintain and perform minor repairs on welding, brazing and soldering equipment to ensure optimal performance and safety.
Requirements
  • 5+ years of experience in industrial welding and fabrication, with a focus on custom fabrication and machinery repair.
  • OCCUPATIONAL HEALTH AND SAFETY CERTIFICATE and First Aid Certificate, Forklift Operator Certification and valid driver's license.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment and provide excellent customer service.
  • Ability to lift 45 kg (100 lbs) and work in a fast-paced production environment with repetitive tasks, standing for extended periods and handling heavy loads.
