As a SERDES Silicon Validation Engineer working in our R&D lab, you will be responsible for product qualification and compliance to supported standards/specifications. You will be part of an R&D team developing high-speed SerDes PHYs. We are looking for an engineer with theoretical knowledge and practical experience to contribute to the silicon validation lab team. Our R&D test lab contains high-speed test equipment such as: Bit Error Rate Testers, Real Time Oscilloscopes, Sampling Scopes, Vector Network Analyzers and Time Domain Reflectometers.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Collaborate with a cross-functional design team of analog designers, systems designers, application engineers, and customers to resolve problems and demonstrate product performance.
  2. Examine circuit behavior and circuit limitations in a testing and characterization environment.
  3. Test the product against target specifications.
  4. Research and specify test equipment and components to support defined test plans and methodologies.
  5. Create detailed test reports.
  6. Design and develop test boards and hardware solutions to support product validation.
  7. Debug electronic circuits; investigate product non-conformance.
  8. Perform any other relevant tasks.
Required Skills:
  • Master's degree in Electrical or Electronics Engineering with 3+ years or Bachelor's with 5+ years of direct industry experience.
  • Experience working in a lab environment.
  • Good understanding of Analog and Mixed-Signal circuits.
  • Some experience with scripting and/or algorithm development to process data.
  • Understanding and experience with Matlab.
  • Good debugging/troubleshooting skills.
Preferred Skills:
  • Test and debug background of PAM-4 signaling type.
  • Experience with IC Test and Validation of Mixed Signal, ADC/DAC and SerDes test circuits.
  • PCB design knowledge.
  • Signal Integrity/Power Integrity knowledge.
  • Experience with tools for schematic entry and SPICE simulation.
  • Data review and data mining.
