About the Role:

Vancouver Aquarium Ltd. is seeking a highly skilled Zoological Technologist to join our team. As a key member of our aquarium team, you will be responsible for assisting in the care and maintenance of aquatic animals, as well as conducting research and conservation efforts.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the daily care and maintenance of aquatic animals, including feeding, cleaning, and monitoring their health.
  • Conduct research and conservation efforts, including data collection and analysis, to support the conservation of aquatic species.
  • Develop and implement educational programs and materials to promote the conservation of aquatic species.
  • Collaborate with other team members to achieve conservation goals and objectives.

Requirements:

  • Post-secondary education in a relevant field, such as biology, zoology, or a related field.
  • Experience working with aquatic animals, preferably in an aquarium or research setting.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse groups.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities.
