Salary and BenefitsThe successful candidate will receive a competitive hourly rate based on experience and qualifications, with an additional $0.25 per hour for each ASE certification held or obtained. We also offer a range of benefits, including medical, dental, vision, and RRSP contributions.
Job DescriptionAs a Licensed Mechanic with First Student Canada-Transco, you will be responsible for maintaining and repairing school buses to ensure vehicle readiness and safety. Your duties will include:
- Assisting with preventive maintenance (PMs), safety inspections, and annual MTO maintenance inspections;
- Diagnosing and performing all phases of vehicle and equipment repair, including brakes, suspensions, drivetrains, and transmissions;
- Ensuring work orders are completed accurately;
- Providing mobile emergency services as needed.
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- A valid driver's license;
- Holds a T license;
- Possession of a mechanic's tool set;
- Willingsness to participate in the ASE certification program, with training, testing, and bonuses provided.
