About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and organized Procurement Specialist to join our team at the Kativik Regional Government in Kuujjuaq, Quebec.

As a key member of our Administration Department, you will be responsible for executing daily purchases, issuing purchase orders, and following up on delivery dates. Your goal will be to ensure timely and cost-effective procurement of goods and services.

You will work closely with various departments to identify their needs and provide solutions through effective procurement strategies. Additionally, you will participate in tendering processes, negotiate with suppliers, and develop strong relationships with them to secure the best prices and services.

About You

To be successful in this role, you must possess a college degree in administration or a vocational diploma in procurement or administration. A minimum of 3 years of experience in procurement is required, along with excellent interpersonal and communication skills.

You should have a positive attitude, a strong customer service focus, and proficiency in Microsoft Office products, procurement systems, and databases. Knowledge of ACCPAC is an asset.

Furthermore, you must be able to establish priorities, think critically, and work under pressure during peak periods. Fluency in English and French, with working knowledge of Inuktitut, is essential.

What We Offer

We offer a competitive salary range of $44,712 to $75,266 per year, plus benefits that include a cost-of-living differential, food allowance, annual leave trips, simplified pension plan, group insurance, vacation time, and statutory holidays.
