Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Commercial Tire Technician to operate a Tire Service Truck and occasionally work the Front Counter as needed.

Salary Range

The estimated salary for this role is $20-$28 per hour, based on experience.

Job DescriptionResponsibilities:
  • Install, balance, and rotate commercial & OTR tires on location and in store
  • Repair commercial and automotive tires in a safe and efficient manner
  • Inspect tires and wheels for correct inflation, wear patterns, tread depth, etc.
  • Answer initial service calls
  • Reset and repair tire pressure monitoring system (TPMS)
  • Ensure all equipment, tools, and supplies are returned in good working condition to proper location
  • Operate company and customer vehicles in a clean and safe manner
  • Provide accurate and professional customer service
  • Maintain tire service equipment
  • Understand and adhere to safe operation of all equipment
Working at the Front Counter:
  • Greet and communicate with customers on all aspects of service
  • Share product knowledge and technical expertise with Fountain Tire customers to build existing and new business
  • Provide service quotes and receive customer authorization for work to be performed on customer vehicles, finalize sales, and complete customer follow-up
  • Schedule customer appointments for tire services
  • Recommend tire service, specialty tire service, and wheel service to customers
  • Ensure that all products are billed accurately to the customer
  • Complete proactive calls to customers to determine their satisfaction level with the service received
Required Skills and Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Experience working with farm and OTR tires (asset but not required)
  • A team player willing to follow direction and take on any tire or task
  • A valid driver's license and a satisfactory driver's abstract
  • Ability to work in unpredictable, physical, wet, cold, windy conditions
