Leadership Opportunity: George Brown College seeks an exceptional Academic Leader to provide strategic direction and oversight to the School of Human Resources.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the development and implementation of the School's strategic plans, aligning with the College's academic and operational goals.
- Supervise faculty, managers, and support staff, ensuring effective people management and a high level of performance.
- Resolve conflicts and address complaints, managing complex team dynamics and adhering to College policies and procedures.
- Initiate, facilitate, and lead the review, development, implementation, and quality assurance of new and existing programs and initiatives.
- Ensure the School's objectives are attained through effective supervision of teaching and learning processes, engaging in scholarly and applied research activities.
- Lead workload and workforce planning, determining faculty teaching and complementary function assignments, making strategic human resource decisions.
- Develop and maintain partnerships with external academic and community partners, promoting positive brand awareness and reputation.
- Manage the School's operating budget, ensuring fiscal accountability and overseeing all funding sources.
Requirements:
- Master's Degree required; Doctorate preferred.
- Relevant post-grad degree and a minimum of 9 years of experience in education, including management/leadership experience.
- Experience in teaching and learning, academic programming, and budget management.
- Demonstrated leadership and administrative skills, including conflict resolution and team management.
