Leadership Opportunity: George Brown College seeks an exceptional Academic Leader to provide strategic direction and oversight to the School of Human Resources.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the development and implementation of the School's strategic plans, aligning with the College's academic and operational goals.
  • Supervise faculty, managers, and support staff, ensuring effective people management and a high level of performance.
  • Resolve conflicts and address complaints, managing complex team dynamics and adhering to College policies and procedures.
  • Initiate, facilitate, and lead the review, development, implementation, and quality assurance of new and existing programs and initiatives.
  • Ensure the School's objectives are attained through effective supervision of teaching and learning processes, engaging in scholarly and applied research activities.
  • Lead workload and workforce planning, determining faculty teaching and complementary function assignments, making strategic human resource decisions.
  • Develop and maintain partnerships with external academic and community partners, promoting positive brand awareness and reputation.
  • Manage the School's operating budget, ensuring fiscal accountability and overseeing all funding sources.

Requirements:

  • Master's Degree required; Doctorate preferred.
  • Relevant post-grad degree and a minimum of 9 years of experience in education, including management/leadership experience.
  • Experience in teaching and learning, academic programming, and budget management.
  • Demonstrated leadership and administrative skills, including conflict resolution and team management.
