This role is a critical part of our Commercial department, responsible for developing, deploying, and maintaining governance policies, credit processes, analytics, and training. You will work closely with other departments within the bank to ensure that adequate controls and procedures are in place.

Job Description
  • Develop and maintain governance policies, credit processes, analytics, and training for the Commercial department
  • Review and analyze regulatory frameworks and enterprise policies to ensure compliance
  • Support the Managing Director, Commercial Monitoring, Control and Analytics, and VP, Commercial Lending on various projects
  • Drive collaboration within the Commercial department to review and update policies and procedures
  • Provide direction to Senior Management to ensure compliance with bank policies and procedures

In this role, you will have the opportunity to make a significant impact on our Commercial department's operations and strategy. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to identify needs and develop scalable solutions to increase efficiencies, enhance customer experience, and limit operational and regulatory risks.

Requirements
  • Minimum 8 years' experience in commercial real estate
  • Knowledge of banking regulations (e.g., I.CAR, PIPEDA, Bank Act, AML)
  • Experience with drafting policy, procedures, standards, and related documents
  • Ability to translate legislative and regulatory requirements into policy and procedure
  • Strong interpersonal, relationship-building, and negotiation skills

We offer a competitive salary range of $140,000 - $180,000 per year, depending on experience.
