Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the inspection of mechanical installations and construction projects to ensure compliance with safety standards and regulations.
  • Carry out a limited range of mechanical tests and analyses of machines, components, and materials to identify defects and areas for improvement.
  • Design and develop tools, moulds, jigs, and fixtures to improve efficiency and productivity.
  • Estimate costs and materials required for projects and prepare detailed reports.
  • Prepare and interpret engineering design, drawings, and specifications to ensure accuracy and compliance.
  • Prepare contracts and tenders for projects, including negotiating terms and conditions.
  • Supervise maintenance programs and operation of mechanical plants to ensure optimal performance and efficiency.
  • Supervise, monitor, and inspect mechanical installations and construction projects to ensure quality and safety standards.
  • Test and evaluate machines and equipment to ensure they meet safety and performance standards.

Requirements:

  • College/CEGEP education in a relevant field.
  • 1-2 years of experience in a related field.
  • Strong knowledge of mechanical systems and technologies.
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Work Setting: This role will be based in an urban area, with regular travel to construction sites and other locations as required.

Work Language: English.

Hours: 30 hours per week.
