Substance Use Therapist Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled Substance Use Therapist Specialist to join our team at Island Health.
About the RoleThis is a challenging and rewarding role that requires a strong commitment to providing high-quality care to individuals struggling with substance use issues.
Responsibilities- Provide individualized treatment plans to adult clients with complex substance use needs.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with community partners and internal stakeholders to ensure seamless care coordination.
- Conduct thorough assessments, develop care plans, and provide therapy sessions to support clients in achieving their goals.
- Maintain accurate records of client progress and communicate effectively with multidisciplinary teams.
- Demonstrated expertise in substance use treatment and crisis intervention.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks efficiently.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with clients and colleagues alike.
- Master's degree in Social Work or related field, with two years of experience working with adult clientele in a mental health and substance use facility/program.
- A competitive salary of $85,000 - $110,000 per year, depending on experience.
