The Centre for Addiction and Mental Health (CAMH) is a leading mental health teaching hospital, fully affiliated with the University of Toronto. Our Medical Withdrawal Service (MWS) is an inpatient service within the Acute Care Program that provides medically-supervised withdrawal and rotation to safer substances for adult clients with severe substance use and/or complex pain disorders.

We are seeking a part-time, permanent Registered Nurse to join this supportive team as a Clinical Healthcare Professional. This role involves assessing physiological stability, mental status, risks, functional ability, motivation, and client skills. You will utilize evidence-based pharmacological protocols and develop the necessary skills to accurately assess and monitor client progress.

Responsibilities include administering medications safely via IV, performing wound care, and preventing further physical destabilization of client health. Successful candidates will be well-supported by the team during a comprehensive orientation program, which includes dedicated support from the Advance Practice Clinical Leader and Nurse Educator.

As a Clinical Healthcare Professional, you will collaborate with the interprofessional team to develop, implement, and evaluate plans of care. You will also have opportunities to participate in reflective practice, mentor students, and take on leadership roles such as Charge Nurse. We prioritize a safe and inclusive work environment that values diversity, teamwork, and continuous learning.

This position requires a 0.3 commitment, with 12-hour shift work, days and nights, and some weekend work at our Queen Street Site. Please note that this part-time, permanent position may be subject to change as per the Collective Agreement. Additional hours may be available based on operational needs.

The estimated annual salary for this role is approximately $80,000 - $100,000 CAD, depending on experience and qualifications. As a member of the ONA Bargaining Unit, you will receive competitive compensation and benefits, including professional development opportunities.
