Job Summary:

Bass Pro Shops is seeking a highly skilled and customer-focused Gun Counter Sales Outfitter to join our team. As a Gun Counter Sales Outfitter, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service, promoting our products, and ensuring a positive shopping experience for every customer.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Customer Service: Provide legendary customer service by assisting customers in making buying decisions, identifying and evaluating customers' needs, and making product recommendations based on this analysis.
  • Product Knowledge: Demonstrate knowledge of various makes and models of firearms and scopes, as well as an understanding of the concepts and practices of hunting and related activities.
  • Program Promotion: Promote Bass Pro Shops programs, including in-store surveys and in-store pick-up.
  • Visual Presentation: Ensure visual presentation standards are met by maintaining a clean and organized sales floor, including dusting, vacuuming, and restocking merchandise.
  • Problem-Solving: Respond to and handle customer issues by using good judgment and logic in solving problems and making decisions within the job scope.
  • Outdoor Knowledge: Demonstrate a passion for the outdoors by maintaining knowledge of trends and emerging technologies that relate to the outdoor lifestyle.
  • Teamwork: Assist in other areas of the store when business needs dictate.

Requirements:

  • Experience: One or more years' experience in a sales or service environment is preferred.
  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent is preferred.
  • Licenses: A Restricted and Non-Restricted Possession and Acquisition License is required.
  • Skills: Ability to evaluate customers' needs and make recommendations based on needs, provide superior customer service, and use good judgment and logic.
