Regina Surgical Centre, a division of Clearpoint Health Network, seeks qualified candidates for an Environmental Service Aide – Clinical position.
Job Summary:
As an Environmental Support Specialist, you will be responsible for providing direct support to the surgical unit and PACU to facilitate the processing of patients. You will act in accordance with policies and procedures for proper care and maintenance of the facility and its equipment.
Key Responsibilities:
Clean and disinfect patient rooms, furniture, and equipment, including making beds ready for the next patient, and restocking patient rooms and bathrooms with essential supplies such as towels, soap, blankets, and garbage disposal.Dust and polish hospital furniture and equipment, including cleaning mirrors and windows, and polishing fixtures and fittings.Create and maintain inventory of cleaning supplies, equipment, and linen, ensuring adequate stock levels.Mix appropriate quantities of cleaning liquids and chemicals according to safety regulations.Maintain a clean and organized storage area for cleaning equipment and supplies.Ensure proper collection of surgical waste according to hospital policies.Maintain constant awareness of the cleanliness, maintenance, and repair of the hospital.Perform weekly terminal cleaning of the unit, including washing windows and walls.Inform the Nurse Manager of any cleaning equipment requiring repair or replacement, or any building hazards, and assist in addressing them.Requirements:
To be successful in this role, you must be fluent in written and verbal English, possess good interpersonal and communication skills, and be able to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Compensation:
The estimated salary for this position is between $30,000 to $45,000 per year, depending on experience and qualifications. This is a casual employment opportunity.
