Nanny Position for a Family

We are seeking a reliable and experienced nanny to care for our children in our urban home. The ideal candidate will have a secondary school graduation certificate and at least one year of experience in childcare. The nanny will be responsible for performing light housekeeping and cleaning duties, shopping for food and household supplies, and traveling with the family on trips. The nanny will also be responsible for bathing, dressing, and feeding infants and children, as well as instructing them in personal hygiene and social development. The nanny will work 40 hours per week and will have the option to live in the employer's home at no charge. The ideal candidate will have excellent oral and written communication skills, be organized and have good time management skills. The nanny will be required to undergo a criminal record check, child abuse registry check, and medical exam. The nanny will also be required to have a first aid certificate and be able to lift up to 9 kg (20 lbs). The ideal candidate will be a team player and have a client-focused approach. The nanny will be responsible for keeping records of daily activities and health information regarding the children. The nanny will also be responsible for maintaining a safe and healthy environment in the home and organizing activities for the children. The nanny will be required to work under pressure and have attention to detail. The ideal candidate will have flexibility and initiative and be able to work in a non-smoking and scent-free environment.

Tasks
  • Assume full responsibility for household in absence of parents
  • Perform light housekeeping and cleaning duties
  • Shop for food and household supplies
  • Travel with family on trips and assist with child supervision and housekeeping duties
  • Wash, iron and press clothing and household linens
  • Bathe, dress and feed infants and children
  • Discipline children according to the methods requested by the parents
  • Instruct children in personal hygiene and social development
  • Keep records of daily activities and health information regarding children
  • Maintain a safe and healthy environment in the home
  • Organize, activities such as games and outings for children
  • Prepare and serve nutritious meals
  • Prepare infants and children for rest periods
  • Supervise and care for children
  • Take children to and from school and to appointments
  • Tend to emotional well-being of children
