Competitive Compensation Package

Job Description: Physiotherapist

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated physiotherapist to join our team at Valley Professional Centre in Wolfeville. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and implementing individualized treatment plans for patients, collaborating with other healthcare professionals, and utilizing e-charting software to document treatment sessions and recommendations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct thorough assessments of patients to identify areas of improvement and develop personalized treatment plans.
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals, including occupational therapists, speech-language pathologists, and physicians, to ensure comprehensive care and optimal outcomes.
  • Utilize evidence-based practices and best available research to inform treatment decisions and drive quality improvement.
  • Maintain accurate and detailed records of patient progress, including documentation of treatment sessions and recommendations.
  • Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare teams to achieve service excellence and promote positive outcomes.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Graduate degree in Physiotherapy from a recognized university.
  • Current registration with the Nova Scotia Physiotherapy Association.
  • Proven experience working in outpatient rehabilitation settings, with a strong understanding of anatomy, physiology, and biomechanics.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with diverse populations.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to think critically and make informed decisions.
